The Blazers are one of the few teams who can count on 50 points per game from their backcourt as both Lillard and McCulloum are prolific scorers from both the perimeter and in penetration. But it’s the acquisition of the 7-foot Nurkic, a big with passing skills similar to another Trail Blazers favorite, Arvydas Sabonis, that could make Portland special.
Portland has plenty of depth in scoring with guard Alan Crabbe and forwards Maurice Harkless and Evan Turner. Center Myers Leonard has a versatile inside-outside game and power forward Al-Farouq Aminu does a lot of the dirty work in the paint. The Blazers have plenty of upside going forward, and they should be in the mix for the playoffs.
