After dealing Chris Sale and Adam Eaton in the offseason, the White Sox have a bevy of prospects who likely will see playing time throughout the season. They will all revolve around Abreu and Todd Frazier, who combined to hit 65 homers in 2016. Infielder Yoan Mocanda and pitcher Lucas Giolito are the most major league-ready prospects, and they will be expected to contribute quickly.
Among the holdovers, left-handed starters Jose Quintana and Carlos Rodon could be ready for breakthrough seasons as both averaged nearly a strikeout per inning and racked up 22 wins between them. Chicago also has a solid bullpen in set-up men Dan Jennings and Nate Jones in front of closer David Robertson.
