The Hawks have figured out how to make the most use of Howard, who is still a consistent double-double producer in points and rebounds. Forward Paul Millsap does a lot of the dirty work offensively for the Hawks, and they have a three-pronged backcourt attack of Dennis Schroeder, Kent Bazemore and Tim Hardaway Jr.
Role players Thabo Sefalosha, rookie Taurean Prince and Mike Muscala along with guard Malcolm Delaney and Ersan Ilyasova give the Hawks a deep bench few can match in the league. It allows coach Mike Budenholzer flexibility to mix and match for every opponent, and as a result, Atlanta is a contender in the balanced East.
