Youth is the buzzword around Milwaukee as the Brewers are building for the future. Slugger Ryan Braun will be the linchpin of a lineup that features plenty of speed in Jonathan Villar, who led the majors with 62 stolen bases last year, and Hernan Perez, who swiped 34. Villar hit 19 homers and newcomer Travis Shaw will look to contribute after belting 16 for Boston last season.
Zach Davies will get the first crack at being the Brewers’ staff ace after an 11-win season, and big things are expected from Junior Guerra after he went 9-3 in his rookie campaign. With a stockpile of young arms, the Brewers may need a while before settling on a closer in the bullpen.
