The Diamondbacks are looking for big things from their starting rotation as both Zack Greinke and Shelby Miller try to bounce back from sub-par seasons. They acquired Taijuan Wallker from Seattle to bolster the first five, and closer Fernando Rodney will bring stability to a bullpen that includes Jake Barrett and newcomer Chris Iannetta.
The Diamondbacks are counting on another banner year from four-time All-Star Paul Goldschmidt as well as outfielder Yasmany Tomas and third baseman Jake Lamb, who combined for 60 homers. Left fielder Brandon Drury showed promise in his first full season with the team, and A.J. Pollock rounds out a talented outfield after missing most of 2016 with an elbow injury.
