The Pacers have hovered around the top half of the Eastern Conference when fully healthy, often posing as the biggest threat to James’ supremacy. Fully healthy after a freakish leg injury cost him a spot on the U.S. Olympic team, George one of the best scorers in the NBA, and he’s teamed with Turner and Jeff Teague to be one of the league’s star trios.
Coach Nate McMillan has a strong nucleus in place and emerging role players such as supersub C.J. Miles and Glenn Robinson III. There are few nights off in the competitive Central Division, but George and the Pacers have proven they have the staying power to challenge the Cavaliers for both the division and conference titles.
