Predators Team Report
(Mon, 15 Mar 2010 03:10:38 PDT)
Resilience has always been a trademark for this franchise, but at no time has it been needed more than the last few days. After giving up six goals in the third period in an 8-5 loss to the San Jose Sharks, the Predators could have disappeared from the Western Conference playoff race.
Instead they had a team meeting, put the San Jose fiasco behind them and then beat the Anaheim Ducks 1-0 Friday night and the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 Sunday. They finished the road trip, which started Tuesday with a win at Atlanta, with a 3-1 record. They have three home games in a row starting Tuesday night against Philadelphia.
Veteran left wing Steve Sullivan said the Predators knew they still had another level to attain.
Hornqvist's late goal leads Predators past Kings
(Sun, 14 Mar 2010 16:46:30 PDT)
While the Los Angeles Kings argued the finer points of interference, the Nashville Predators celebrated a California road trip that might have cleared up their path to the playoffs. Patric Hornqvist scored the tiebreaking goal with 3:31 to play, Pekka Rinne made 18 saves and the Predators extended their mastery over the Kings on Sunday with a 3-2 victory.
Rinne, Predators beat Ducks 1-0

Pekka Rinne made 31 saves for his fourth shutout of the season, Shea Weber scored during a 5-on-3 power-play, and the Predators strengthened their hold on a playoff...

Sharks rally to beat Predators 8-5
(Thu, 11 Mar 2010 23:10:35 PST)
After watching his team rally for the third straight game with a six-goal third period, all San Jose coach Todd McLellan wanted to talk about was the listless play the first two periods that put the Sharks in the hole. "We were clearly outworked, outplayed, outhustled for two periods and that's very disappointing," McLellan said.
