Panthers Team Report
(Mon, 01 Dec 2008 00:17:46 PST)
With their train not leaving Penn Station for another hour, the Panthers were able to leisurely pack their gear and enjoy Sunday's dominating 4-0 victory over the Rangers.
When the team finally boarded its train headed south, it did so knowing it had a pretty good week—but another bunch of challenges await. Florida got four of six points in its season-long three-game homestand, and getting two points at Madison Square Garden is something Florida has done only twice in its last nine visits to Manhattan.
After playing at Washington on Tuesday, the Panthers return home for a two-game set against Buffalo and Boston. Florida then embarks on a five-game road trip that is not going to be easy.

(Sun, 30 Nov 2008 14:14:40 PST)

Anderson got the call for the second straight game over Vokoun and made Florida coach Peter DeBoer's somewhat surprising decision pay off with a 37-save shutout in the Panthers' 4-0 victory against the New York Rangers on Sunday. "I thought he would go back to Vokie," he said.

(Wed, 26 Nov 2008 19:45:39 PST)
Expected successes and surprises -- we mean you, Bruins -- top the list. At the bottom, we knew the Panthers were trouble -- but what's Dallas doing down there? Earning its place, of course.
