Coyotes Team Report
(Mon, 01 Dec 2008 00:17:46 PST)
After losing a game to the NHL's best team, the Coyotes—and goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov—need to regroup before hosting the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night.
There are a few things that need to happen for the final two games of this homestand: They have to get more shots on net, and Bryzgalov has to crank up his game. Even though he gave up two goals in his first two shots, and backup Mikael Tellqvist has played well, there's no goalie controversy brewing.
"Right now, there's nothing to assess," coach Wayne Gretzky said when asked to put the situation into perspective. "We know Bryzie is the No. 1 guy. Telly has been admirable when he's been in. He's played extremely well.
"Bryzgalov is just not playing to the level we need him to play at.
