Coyotes Team Report

The Coyotes had to feel good at the end of regulation Thursday when they forced the St. Louis Blues into overtime. After all, the Coyotes were 4-0 in overtime games this season, while the Blues had gone 0-4 in the same situation.
The reversal of fortunes took just 17 seconds and one end-to-end rush by St. Louis' Erik Johnson. The Coyotes did take three of four points on the quick two-game road trip, but failing to hold a 2-1 lead after two periods didn't make for a good plane ride home.
For the second time this week, the Coyotes were foiled by great goaltending. On Monday, it was Tampa's Mike Smith who turned them back time and again. And Wednesday, with the Blues desperate for a win and with rumors of Andy Murray's job status swirling, Chris Mason made 13 of his 34 saves...

The Phoenix Coyotes recalled forward Kevin Porter from their AHL affiliate in San Antonio on Monday. The 23-year-old Porter has four goals and nine assists in 14 games for San Antonio this season. He was recalled from the Rampage on Oct. 16, but did not dress for an NHL game and was sent down to the minors two days later.
