Blue Jackets Team Report
(Sat, 21 Nov 2009 00:39:53 PST)
The Blue Jackets are off to the best start in franchise history and are showing they have a lot of fight in them.
They literally had a lot of fight Thursday night during a brawl-filled 4-1 victory over Dallas. The teams combined for 57 penalty minutes in the first period.
Special teams were the difference in the game. The Blue Jackets got three power-play goals (by Rick Nash, Kristian Huselius and Raffi Torres) and also got a shorthanded goal from Huselius.
The Blue Jackets improved to 6-1-1 in their last eight games with their latest victory, and with 26 points, they trail first-place Chicago by only two points in the Central Division.
But there's little time to relax.
