Blackhawks Team Report
(Mon, 01 Dec 2008 00:17:46 PST)
The Blackhawks' 3-2-1 record on their traditionally challenging late November road trip doesn't seem too bad. It was their best record since 1997 on the annual jaunt made necessary because a circus takes over the United Center for two weeks.
But an 0-2-1 finish has cost the Hawks the momentum they had worked so hard to build. Now they'll try to regain it on home ice when the Anaheim Ducks visit on Wednesday. The Ducks beat the Hawks 1-0 during the road swing.
Overall, it was a costly trip for the Hawks as injuries sidelined Nikolai Khabibulin, Adam Burish and Aaron Johnson. The Hawks are holding out hope that Khabibulin's injury, believed to be in his groin or hip, isn't as bad as was feared when he went down late in the second period at San Jose.
