If Sunday's Buffalo at Kansas City game comes down to a special teams play, the Chiefs likely will be in deep trouble.
Not that they aren't in most games during this six-game losing skid and 1-9 season.
It's just that the 5-5 Bills, after jumping out to a surprising 5-1 start, aren't in much better shape after losing four consecutive games and five of their last six.
They're making way too many turnovers during their losing streak—13, on eight interceptions and five lost fumbles—while the Chiefs have been pretty good at forcing turnovers (10 over the past four games, while making only two).

Tony Gonzalez hobbled off the field in the third quarter Sunday of Kansas City's game against New Orleans, but returned a short time later. The Chiefs said Gonzalez, 32, who holds NFL tight end records for touchdowns, catches and yards receiving, had an ankle sprain. He came back in after New Orleans scored to take a 27-13 lead late in the third period.

After hoping all week to get Reggie Bush back in the lineup, the New Orleans Saints put the running back on the inactive list Sunday. The Saints and Kansas City Chiefs both had several starters inactive. With Bush missing his third game with a knee injury, he was joined by fullback Mike Karney and center Jonathan Goodwin, who also had problems with knees.

A Kansas woman filed a lawsuit Monday against Chiefs running back Larry Johnson a month after claiming he spit a drink in her face at a bar and threatened to kill her and her boyfriend. The lawsuit, filed by 24-year-old Ashley N.
