With the strong possibility looming that Eddie Jordan will become the third Sixers head coach (along with Randy Ayers and Jim O'Brien) in seven years to be fired within a season, there is plenty going on with Jordan's team.
Second-year backup big man Marreese Speights (sprained right knee) has missed the last six games and starting guard Lou Williams (low back pain) played limited minutes against New Jersey after sitting out Monday.
On Tuesday, the Sixers learned that third-year forward Thaddeus Young had fractured his right thumb during Monday's 10-point drubbing by the Knicks. That removes another young player from the lineup for at least two games.

Toney Douglas is making a strong case to remain in the starting lineup. The rookie guard from Florida State had a solid all-around effort for the second consecutive game, and the New York Knicks won both of them. Danilo Gallinari scored 21 points, Douglas added 20 and the Knicks won their second straight on the road by rallying past the struggling Philadelphia 76ers, 94-84 on Monday night.

Allen Iverson's wife filed for divorce the same day the Philadelphia 76ers announced that the All-Star guard would not return for the rest of the season. Tawanna Iverson said their 8 1/2 -year marriage is "irretrievably broken," in papers filed Tuesday in Fulton County Superior Court. She asks for full custody of the couple's five children, child support and alimony.
